THHA 2010 dues assessment forms
The THHA 2010 dues assessment forms are online this year. If you are registered for the Temple Hills website, you WILL NOT receive a paper copy of this form. You may, however, request a paper copy by calling our Business Office at 256-7146. Please click on the "Dues Coupon" link to the left of this article under the "Documents" link.

Dues for 2010 have been decreased to $60 per quarter for homes and $45 per quarter for Deercrest residents. The 10% discount is still offered to residents who prefer paying annually by January 31st. If you choose to pay quarterly, first quarter fees are also due no later than January 31, 2010.

Budget and ARC Committee Vote Results

We'd like to thank everyone who voted and took the time to fill out our survey! 164 votes were received. The budget passed with 158 "yes" votes. Dale Killough was elected to the ARC with 160 "yes" votes. The survey will provide the board with terrific information about how the membership thinks about several key THHA issues. We received a great number of well-considered comments. After we've had time to fully evaluate the results, we'll post them on the website.

Board Members Elected
Paul Cole, Gene Simmons and Sandee O'Dowd were elected as members of the Board of Directors of the Homeowners Association in September. A special thanks to Paul, Gene and Sandee for volunteering for these important positions.

Walking on Golf Course
Temple Hills Golf Club extends a friendly reminder that the golf course is private club property and intended for golf purposes only. This also applies when a nine is closed for re-seeding greens. Thanks for your cooperation.

Update - The Reserve at Temple Hills
The Reserve reports only 9 homesites remain in Phase I. Two market homes and two custom homes have been completed. The Reserve welcomes 1 new resident. Residents of The Reserve can find the Reserve Covenants on this website under Documents. For more details on The Reserve and its HOA, go to www.templehillsreserve.com.

Community Without Walls
Community Without Walls (CWW) matches resources in the neighborhood to seniors in need of assistance, allowing them to age in their homes. Are you a senior needing occasional assistance or a potential volunteer who can help? Click on the CWW-TH webpage for more info or contact Brad or Cathy Hoot at 646-3068.

Old Temple Road Update
Stan Tyson, County Roads Commissioner, reports the widening of Old Temple Road is progressing and on schedule for paving and completion in Spring 2010. The road work will ultimately increase the pavement width to 20 feet with curbs and bicycle-friendly under drains.

Drainage Update
Brad Hoot, Chairman of the Drainage Committee, continues to handle regional drainage problems and maintenance (main creeks and ditches serving large areas of the subdivision). But for local problems (yard drainage involving only 1 to 3 lots), homeowners should develop a plan and submit it to Brad for approval to insure that no one is adversely affected.

Remember to coordinate with your neighbors and check utilities. Drainage problems of the local variety will be treated similar to ARC matters. Please don't do any grading or drainage work without approval. You could be creating a problem for someone else.

Monthly Rainfall: Aug 2.55" Sept 11.61" Oct 8.1"

Animal Control
If you have a minor dog complaint, contact Hillary Jewel at 646-1318. To file an official complaint, please download the Animal Control - Temple Hills Complaint Form on our Animal Control page and return to Hillary Jewell. The board is currently exploring setting up a fines schedule for unleashed dogs in the neighborhood.

~ Neighborhood Notices ~

Reward Offered
A petty theft occured on Carnousti Drive on Thursday 12/10/2009. A white 2005 Nissan Sentra at my home was burglarized. A Garmin GPS, A new xmas toy, and the emergency roadside kit in a large black case purchased from Sears were stolen. A cash reward is offered for the return of the stolen items, or information about this theft. Please contact THHA if you have any information.

Another Car Burglary
Just another heads up for everybody. Two additional cars were broken into on Dec 10th between 5 and 9 in a driveway on Oakland Hills Drive. Both GPS's were taken. The cars were open unfortunately. Please take prudent safety precautions and remember that, sadly, this is one of the worst times of the year for both car break-ins and home break-ins.

For good holiday safety and security tips, please visit the Metro Nashville Police Department website at http://www.police.nashville.gov/safety/index.asp.

Limit Parking in Streets
We have an on-going problem with residents and visitors parking on our streets for extended periods of time. Please park in the driveway whenever possible. Too many parked cars on narrow streets can block access for emergency vehicles and create bottlenecks. Please do your part to help.

No Parking in Yards Please
We have received complaints regarding some residents and/or visitors on St. Andrews parking vehicles in neighborhood yards as well as boat trailers and mowers left in yards. Please park vehicles in the driveway or garage whenever possible.

Car Break-Ins
There has been a rash of car break-ins in parts of Temple Hills as well as county-wide. Play it smart and store valuables from your car like GPS units and satellite radios out of sight or inside your home and lock your cars!

New Valves in THW & Deercrest
As mandated by the state, Harpeth Valley Utilities has installed clean out valves for water pipes on cul-de-sacs in Temple Hills West and Deercrest.
